😃 Well that's what I call a truly enjoyable post, have to reread it carefully. Far as Eileithyia, well that actually connects the church, conceptually speaking, all the way back to the Mycenaean takeover of Minoan Crete (1450 BCE)! Turns out Eileithyia is a biiig part of my argument in my book. See, I have found that she was one of two deities that came into being with the bifurcation of an earlier single Minoan demon deity into a deity and a demon, probably during the Mycenaean takeover. If you are wondering who the demon is, well that would be the dear old Minotaur, no less! And I actually found a passage in the Iliad itself that makes little logical sense otherwise, but fits my hypothesis perfectly, just like visual art analysis does too. Must not spoil too much, though...🤫
