Thanks for this post. Cruelty is still so common around the world both to animals and humans. But luckily there are also lots of people who do what they can to help animals and people in trouble.
Thank you, Peta, you're absolutely right. The bond and loyalty they show us deserve nothing less than our active care and protection. And we need to remember that how we treat the vulnerable, both human and animal, is deeply interconnected.
I must tell you about my first German shepherd, he loved all people but once and only once on holiday there was a man walking towards the car park we were in and Vulcan came and stood in front of of me and growled,, the Man must have been 20ft away . I knew then that my big soppy dog was prepared to defend me. He never growled at anyone again. The man didn’t come near us but had Vulcan not been there who knows. Would always trust my dogs instinct
